How it feels to be a Mayor, Mr. Syaharie Jaang?
It must be so difficult and tired to organize and handle this city.
We are a students from one of Senior High School in Samarinda. This letter is not written in a spirit of hate, disrespect, and without having a negative purpose or just giving a new burden for the goverment. The main concern in this letter we want to discuss about one of public facilities in Samarinda, Taman Cerdas. First of all we really appreciate and respect your effort and its a good idea to build Taman Cerdas. This park become another tourist attraction in Samarinda. This park have a affect and have a quite big benefits for the citizen. And we can say that this park is the part of the famous palce in samarinda so thats why everyday there are many people visit this place, especially on the weekend this park will be very crowded. Start from the children until the adults come to this place. This park are furnished with many facilities like playground area’s for kids, the trees that surrounding the park make a cool air and help to create a healthy environment. The visitors can immortalize theire moment with take some picture because the park have a beautiful scenery and the visitors can take a picture with many variety of cartoon characters that was very cute like doraemon, minion, hello kitty, mickey mouse and etc. Taman cerdas is one of the best alternative place for make a quality time, having fun and wasting time together with family and friends on the weekend. This place is free from the payment and more easier to go there because it is located in the middle of the city. This park also has a function as a place for refreshing, relax after a hard day’s work, forget and remove their problems for a while. Is place is useful as a place for the kids to play in the playground area’s with their friends that will help to keep out and save your kids from addicted to electronic device or smartphone.
However, behind all the excellences and the benefits this park still lacks of facility and infrastructure. These are some opinion and solution that we suggested to do by the government for Taman Cerdas to be better place and give more comfort to the visitors.
1. Provide lights garden. because at night the park was very dark intelligent. However, there are still people who visit it. Therefore these lamps are needed as lighting at night and to prevent the negative things that can be done - people who are not responsible in places where the atmosphere appear dark. Or perhaps to add charm and beauty community in Taman Cerdas lanterns can also be given as there is in Tepian.
2. Control of the traders who sell at random. Reaffirming the rules and the rules that have been defined in the Taman Cerdas. If necessary to provide the officer on duty to regulate merchant who sells carelessly.
3. In addition to merchants, other things have to be disciplined is indiscriminate parking community. This is noteworthy because parking in any place can interfere with the activity of road traffic.
4. Provide public facilities are public toilets were clean. Because so many people who complain about the toilet is difficult to find around the area of Taman Cerdas.
5. Adding and provide traditional games. In this modern age, where all technology has advanced and electronic tools are circulating that make children forget or do not even know about traditional games such as congklak, ular tangga, lompat tali, kelereng and more. Plus the intelligent park often visited by children, therefore it is very necessary to provide traditional games to introduce and remind them.
6. Procurement garden reading. Provide a space to put a book or can be called by the library open. So the kids who come to the Taman Cerdas is not just to play, but they also can play while learning or perhaps not just a children's book would be better provided books for parents who was accompanying her. Procurement reading park also has a positive impact as an alternative to increasing interest and reading culture in society.
7. The cleaners are also needed in the Taman Cerdas. Not only help to clean up waste dumped carelessly and sweep the street alone. But, the janitor is also necessary to clean the statues with funny cartoon characters that because of our view of the statues began to look very dirty. If the statues are dirty and do not make a good background for the photo again, maybe it can lower public appeal to the Taman Cerdas.
8. We also have suggestions for the holding of free distribution of books every day of the week. The books are distributed both new and secondhand. And the books were also adapted to age. Books are distributed to children will be different from the book which was distributed to parents. If the authorities find it difficult to do it alone, the government can also ask the communities connected with it to work. Because in Samarinda is quite a lot of communities or communities see children who often gather several books unused for distribution to people in need.
9. Improving all facilities so that people who visit the Taman Cerdas can feel more comfortable and make visitors want to visit back.

Perhaps, these are some advice and solutions that maybe can help the government to repair and improving the park. We don’t mean anything else, we just want to help you to solve the facility problems in public spaces. We hope citizens of Samarinda city can get more good, educated and comfort place to wasting time together with our family and our friends.
